Linux Journal Article on Open Source in Government

Linux Journal has started a new series about open source in government (the phrase "open source in government" can cover a lot of ground, from a particular government office switching from proprietary to open source, all the way to open source bills.) The first article [6/10/03], in addition to a quick roundup of open source bills in the United States, talks about some of the industry organizations that have been involved in lobbying against those bills. These presumably would be some of the organizations that would lobby against open data format bills. The article was discussed on slashdot [6/10/03].
